I am from Avon, Ohio, which is right outside of Cleveland (Go Browns!). When trying to choose a university during my senior year of high school, I was very conflicted on where I wanted to go and what I wanted to study. I ultimately chose pharmacy, for it is a great balance between knowledge of science and improving patient’s lives. After deciding my career path, I definitely did not know which school I wanted to go to. After visiting Duquesne and seeing the campus, I knew where I wanted to spend the next six years of my life. I was in awe with all of the flowers that lined Academic Walk, and immediately fell in love with the skyline. I felt safe and secure on campus, with having the city of Pittsburgh just steps away. Duquesne’s School of Pharmacy has a great curriculum, so my mom was pretty excited about my choice, too. I am an intern at a small chain pharmacy at home during summers and breaks, and it has reinforced my love for pharmacy. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, spending time with my dog, and reading.
